A spring meadow, shrunk to the size of your palm. A little rattan basket holds a bed of soft green moss, and out of it rise dozens of tiny flowers, every petal cut from iridescent mother of pearl so they shift colour as the light moves. Cream blossoms, ice blue ones, soft mint ones, a single coral tulip standing taller than the rest, and two sprigs of round pearls arching out like lily of the valley. The stems are wire strung with emerald glass seed beads, and the handle is bound in the same green.
This is the one for someone who notices small things. It suits a bookshelf, a dressing table, or a desk that could use one bright object. Nothing about it needs looking after.
Beaded by hand, one petal and one bead at a time, so no two baskets are exactly alike.
